Certifications

A large part of our products are certified in accordance with current EU standards. The standards typically contain guidelines for the preparation of the product, requirements for strength and durability and how this should be tested. A certification must be prepared by an accredited institute – at JUMBO Scaffolding A/S, we use TÜV in Germany and RISE in Sweden. Certification is your assurance that our products live up to the requirements, and that we deliver a consistent quality product. Some of our suppliers may use other institutes, just as some products may have other national certifications.

Below you can see a brief description of the different standards.

EN131

EN131 is the norm for ladders in the European market. The standard is divided into chapters 1-7 – some of them are general regulations, description of test methods, etc. while others cover certain types of ladders (see the following explanations)

EN131-6

EN131 is the norm for ladders in the European market. Chapter 6 (EN131-6) is specifically aimed at telescopic ladders

EN131-7

EN131 is the norm for ladders in the European market. Chapter 7 (EN131-7) is specifically aimed at platform ladders

HD1000

Older standard for facade scaffolding which consists of prefabricated elements. The standard describes materials, dimensions, requirements for strength and durability as well as how this should be tested in relation to the certification.

EN10223-7

EN10223 is the standard for steel wire and wire products for fencing. Chapter 7 (EN10233-7) deals with welded steel wire panels for fences and is the standard our construction site fences, for example, are certified according to. The standard describes materials and various requirements for design and strength, as well as testing thereof.

EN12810

EN12810 is the European standard for facade scaffolding made of prefabricated elements. The standard describes materials, dimensions, requirements for strength and durability as well as how this should be tested in relation to the certification.

DIN4567

CEI EN50528 is a European standard for transportable ladders made with non-conductive material stiles. This supplement to the EN 131 certification ensures that the ladder can be used near, but not directly on live systems and installations. Provides sufficient insulation performance under 1000 C.A. – 1500V C.C.
